Waterloo Siskins LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Nothing is more hometown than hockey. But hockey teams can’t effectively operate without the commitment and support of the community and its volunteers. The Waterloo Siskins hockey club knows how valuable their generational support-team is from the community. On February 11th, they honoured four long-standing Siskin volunteers. The Siskins invited the community to come and celebrate the four dedicated volunteers with a cumulative 103 years of service to the team. The Waterloo Siskins hosted Kitchener Dutchmen in a home game at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. Prior to the game , the team honoured Shirley Nelson (36 years of service), Beth Stefanson (30 years), Marilyn Whiting (22 years), and Evelyn Chilton (15 years).

BINGO VOLUNTEERS WANTED…

We are looking for volunteers to assist us with Sunday evening Bingo events. Individuals would be required to arrive at Kitchener Bingo Hall at approximately 8pm & shifts will end at either 10:45 or 11:45pm. Duties include confirming bingos, selling $1 and $2 bingo cards along with some other minor responsibilities. We are hoping to have individuals assist with one shift every 6 week.
